Rodney Perry
Head Coach

Rodney Perry graduated from Fort Smith Northside in Fort Smith, Arkansas where he earned all state and all conference accolades.  He played 2 years at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith before transferring to MissouriStateUniversity where he helped the Bears to a pair of post season appearances.   In 1992, he was part of Coach Spoonhour's 23-8 NCAA tournament team.  In 1993, he served as captain for a team that posted a 20-11 mark and advanced to the quarter final of the NIT.  Perry led the team in steals both seasons and was a 2 time selection to the MVC all defensive team.  He was named to the MissouriValley All Tournament team after helping MissouriStateUniversity to its first post season MVC tournament title 1992.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education.  He began his coaching career in 1994 as an assistant in the Missouri high school system.  He coached at WillardHigh School and SpringfieldCentralHigh School before landing the head coaching position at PurdyHigh School where he led the Eagles to their best record in ten years before jumping to the collegiate ranks.  He has coached Division I college basketball at Duquesne University, and Western Illinois University and has also coached Division II college basketball at Southwest Baptist University.  Perry was named national AAU coach of the year after leading his team to the 1995 AAU national championship.   Perry has coached and mentored over 60 players that have earned collegiate scholarships.
